abbotsford - city in the country

Abbotsford calls itself the "city in the country", and you really do get a good balance here. There are important "city" services like a great new hospital, good doctors and dentists, and pharmacies that deliver to Hallmark.  We have a great airport, freeway connections, and are close to the train to Vancouver. 

But we also have "country" features like a thriving farmers' market, a connected group of local farms, great produce that finds its way onto Hallmark tables, and a walking trail system in our backyard. And wherever you are in Abbotsford, you can usually look up and see tall trees or the soaring peak of Mount Baker.

Lots of folks have retired here for these reasons, and because Abbotsford is a good place for young families to find work, they can often be close to the grandkids as well.

There are good sidewalks leading from Hallmark to the mall, downtown areas, and the trail system, making all these easily accessible for seniors with scooters.
