hallmark on the lake - independent living
Hallmark on the Lake offers 61 spacious suites, ranging in size from 450 - 1100 square feet. Everyone prefers something a little different. Maybe you like looking out at the cedar grove, the pond, or the park trail. Perhaps you like to see who's coming and going at the front door. You are always welcome to come and see for yourself.
Your home will have:
- A private suite ready for your own furnishings and personal touch. Your small pet is also welcome!
- A kitchen with a small refrigerator, sink, and self-cleaning range
- A private washroom with walk-in shower. Some suites have bathtubs, and we have several variations that might suit your fancy.
- Individually controlled electric heat, so you can have it cool or toasty, as you wish.
- Two delicious and nutritious meals per day, lunch and dinner, in our park-side dining room. It tastes great (and you don't have to make it).
- Snacks are also provided. Lots of folks enjoy the fresh morning baking in the coffee shop, catching up over a coffee and a warm muffin.
- Weekly housekeeping and linen services
- A regular calendar of activities
- Regular Wellness clinics
- Scheduled transportation for shopping and appointments. Our friendly shuttle drivers take people to doctor's appointments, stores, family visits, and more.
- Routine suite maintenance, so you don't have to change those lofty light bulbs.
- Underground parking (limited), which is sure great when it's raining.
- Basic cable (Shaw) and all utilities except for phone.
For a small additional fee, some may choose the option of the Lifeline Emergency Call System, for increased security and peace of mind. Quite a number of our residents choose this.
Nature at Your Back Door
When you come out the back door of Hallmark, you walk into 23-acre Fishtrap Creek Park, filled with paved walking and biking trails. Lots of our folks go for a pleasant walk every day, at their own speed, far from traffic.
If you're a birdwatcher, you'll enjoy watching a blue heron catching a fish, or a Canada goose and her little ones along the water's edge.
Walk out of Hallmark's front door, and be only minutes away from shopping, businesses, and medical services!
